Andrew Brown Ph.D. Candidate, Performance Studies

Andrew Brown is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Performance Studies at Northwestern University.  He received his BA in Theatre and English from Muhlenberg College in 2009.  His solo performances Fat CampMother May I? and Row, Row, Row explore the intersections of memory, technology, gender, and sexuality.  They have been presented in London, Cape Town, New York, Providence, and Chicago.  He is currently working on an oral history project with LGBTI refugees in South Africa that will culminate in a staged performance this July at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival.
