Mary Weismantel Affiliated Faculty, Associate Professor of Anthropology

Mary Weismantel is a Professor of Anthropology. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, most recently a fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies.  She is the author of two books and numerous articles on the topic of gender and sexuality in the Andean region of South America, now and in the Pre-Columbian past.  Her interests include the intersection of race, gender, sexuality and class; materialities; kinship; and human/nonhuman relations.
